Support Ukraine
In the 90s, Oseredok Ukrainian Cultural and Education Centre presented an art exhibit with works from Ukraine. Some of the artwork was left in Canada to support the foundation of Ukrainian culture in our country. It is time these pieces reflect that support by giving back to the people it came from. Gas Station Arts Centre is partnering with Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral and aiding their settlement program by selling these pieces. All proceeds will go directly to this program and will assist newly displaced immigrants. This unique collection consists of over 50 pieces from over 15 artists and spans a variety of styles and mediums. There is something for everyone.
Please take the time to look over the artwork and purchase a piece here.
A selection of this artwork will be on display at the Gas Station Arts Centre for the month of July.
Purchases can be made online via eTransfer to nick@gsac.ca or made in person at the Gas Station Arts Centre, 445 River Avenue.
We are proud in acknowledging that we are in Treaty 1 territory and that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. We respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
